What about allowing comments made my either contest holder or designer to be edited within a set time liimit - possibly a window of 15-20 minutes where edits are possible, after that comments are locked.

This would allow for corrections in spelling or grammar or adding more to the comment if needed. How many times I've had to correct something and then had to add a further comment.
