More Specific Contest Brief
I've seen a number of contests where the Contest Holders give verrry little information about what they want and need exactly. Lots of times it's hard for designers to give them want they want because well..we don't know what they want. So we waste hours of brainstorming and designing when the CH could have simply added a few more things in the brief. So maybe just how "description, brand name, etc" are writting, there should be more fields for the CH to fill out specifying more things about what they want.

I thought this was already included, but I found a contest where someone didn't specify a type of business. And we should ask that this be specific. "Construction company," for example, could be anything from industrial to luxury homes. Another key piece of information: the target audience. Location, demographics, interests, all are important to know about the people who will see a design.

Also: What words would you use to describe your ideal logo (strong, friendly, energetic, peaceful, vibrant, traditional, etc.)?

I strongly agree. This would create far more logos the CH likes, and would waste less time of both the CH and designers. I would include questions like:
- What do you want your design to say about your organization?
- Do you have any colors in mind?
- Are there any symbols or images you would like incorporated into your design?
- Can you point to any other designs that are in the style you like?
