Feedback on contest holder

Same principle as on ebay, where you can leave feedback on a seller's reliability.
Would be nice to review how a contest holder has done in the past, considering feedback and payment etc.

This is a great idea but this can also be abused. Designers with a grudge can trash the reputation of a host or worse drive future hosts away if to much negative attacks on them. Good idea on paper but making it work that will be the hard part.

They should have the option to dispute unfair feedback. A designer wouldn't risk their reputation by giving someone fake negative feedback. If they create a new account just to give fake feedback, the dispute would be an easy win.

I think the contest health was a great add, however I myself have problems with CH's that will award a winner & then never pay them. I think it would be very beneficial to other designers to know what CH's have paid after awarding & which ones didn't.
I Think 99Designs has come a long way since it's birth on sitepoint & look forward to it becoming a more secure & professional place for designers

this is a decent idea but i find that things that try to control or evaluate someones account are futile if it is so easy to start a new account. A CH that gets some negative feedback can easily never log on with that name again and start holding contests with a new name completely clean slate. Maybe create something that would entice users to keep improving on their 1 account.........?

I would also like to be able to rate the designers. Timely delivery of files and quality of communication after the contest would be things that other Contest Holders would want to know about a designer.

We know when users create multiple accounts and tend to come down pretty hard on people creating duplicate accounts to dodge bad history.

Only the contest winner can rate the CH, he can give the CH a star from 1-5, but... the vote is anonymous to the CH, for example he has 2 or more contest winners.

A definite must......a place to praise great contest holders and help contest holders better understand the designers POV......and if we've had a bad experience, this should be posted as well.

If you do this, and I think its a good idea, it has to go both ways. You have to give us contest holders a way to answer angry people. There are always two sides to a coin.

I for one would welcome a rating system, that works both ways were we as designers can leave feedback about the CH and the CH can leave feedback about the designers.

I think a check and balance or review system would be great for both designers as well as contest holders. This can promote a good sense of business and communication between both parties with a degree of trust based on the ratings.
Negative feedback must be disputable of course. You have my support!

As a CH I'm all for this ... as long as the CH has access and can reply to feedback.
