Email alert for new feedback in a contest

hey all - am relatively new to the site having got very fed up with a site I have been an active member on for over 2 years so thought other avenues were worth exploring!

i joined 99desings as it seemed to address a lot of the issues I had with the other site but in the 3 weeks I have been a member - I can see 2 potentially tricky flaws! PLS don't get me wrong - all websites (I think) are a work in progress and I think that 99designs is WAY ahead of most in terms of taking on board members' feedback - but these are my 2 "mini-gripes" -

1. when a contest is won - there is absolutely no guarantee the CH will pay up - so I applaud the "guaranteed" contest option they have introduced but what happens to all those designers out there who are merely waiting to see if 1. they actually get paid for their winning entry or 2. a winner is EVEN selected? there are many of us I know.

2. it would be great if an email alert system was set up that when anything was posted on the general discussion board for a contest you have entered - you were alerted as such. I seem to spend hours going back to contests I have entered to see if a CH has posted a comment at all - or indeed any of the other designers! maybe this could be streamlined in some way??

any feedback to my thoughts as ever, appreciated!

cheers

This should definitely be an option to turn on or off. Otherwise it's almost impossible to keep up with all the individual feedback threads from the different designers in a contest. This doesn't seem too hard to implement either.

I just got 163 messages for one feedback and private message

I agree that an email alert to the CH when a new design is posted (or a new post in the contest area) would be VERY helpful.
