I propose that for the duration of the contest, only the client has access to all the designs, and can feedback to the individuals. Then once the contest is over, the client chooses the winner, and a few of their other favorites, and these are posted for everyone to see, and for archive purposes.

This is for all the designers out there that are pissed off with coming up with 4/5 star ideas… then watching as the more unscrupulous members of this community use those ideas as a springboard for 'their own'.

This way it will still be a great record of fantastic design, but will ensure everyone is judged on their own merit. As far as i can figure the only people it would annoy are just the kind of people this community could do without :)

@bernardo why dont you try working with the designer who has the idea you like? almost anybody on here can make it shiny or colored or any way you want. Its the idea thats unique not the useage of the software. heck you can find a tutorial for almost any design on here on the net, alot of the designs on here come from tutorials. Its the idea thats important not the button pushing....

Bernardo, what you are suggesting is combining the ideas of multiple designers to get your work, and awarding one designer in the end. Very convenient for contest holders, I agree. And also something I, as a designer, am completely against.

    So yeah, bring that on.

A problem occured when this system applied : social control about plagiarizing from design already existed ?

I agree. I've been in a contest where I had a 4 star design only for the winner of the CHs other contest to drop in and submit a design identical to mine with only one small difference relating to their earlier contest win. Obviously took what worked in his contest and took what was working on mine. To make matters worse the CH then decided he no longer needs a logo...coincidence? I THINK NOT!!

I vote against this change. Sometimes this is very useful for the contest holder.

Sometimes I as a contest holder see a design element that I like a lot - in a design, that I absolutely don't like. It's nice to be able to point those designers who made designs that I like a lot more to include this element in their design.
