Really, if the "contest" holder is providing a descriptive brief, the designer should be chosen based on no more than a creative brief. The idea of handing off a completed design custom crafted for a particular "contest holder" on the off chance of "winning," that is, actually getting paid for the upfront work, is anathema to any professional. Worse, there is absolutely no protection under the sun your design will not simply be lifted and handed off to a design student for pennies on the dollar. You'd never even know. If I had a design comp rejected by a paying client, I might submit that already done work to a like client, but I for one refuse to work this way on professional principle.

well, you could find a business model that doesn't encourage this sort of thing.

    or simply change your nomenclature.

since you wont do either, and perish the idea one of your little 'contesants' should be dissillusioned they are not only not a pro, but are doing a disservice to professionalism should they ever grow up and become one.

this site in its terms is a really awful idea.
