CH to give daily feedback, updates and pause a contest
Ive entered 7 contests now, and 4 have been ended days before the due date, when the contest holder has chosen one of the first designs. Its not just been me who has wasted my time doing designs, have seen dozens of other entries go in after mine.
If the CHs are not telling us they are going with a design, its not fair on other designers who work hard to put in there ideas.
Perhaps CHs should be able to 'pause' contests while they consider a design. Then either finish the contest if they use the design or restart the comp for more designs. Will stop people submitting to a comp that is really already decided.

This is interesting to me, because I can't think of a time when we stopped a contest early with the exception of 1 currently running, but only because fast track went away and we didn't know it. You are right, it''s not fair to end a contest early. I think that the pause idea is good, and I think the rest could be taken care of with CH ratings.

I agree. Lachlan, please realize that the designers are a very important part of your business, too. Nadia P had told me that Fast Track contests often ends early -- I was new to 99 Designs and could not find that important fact in the Fast Track description.
Perhaps you could charge the contest holder for ending the contest early or post a 1 day early note about the impending closure.
