As a CH, I'm always looking at every entry and determining what I like/don't like about a particular entry. If I see something that I like about one entry, I'll ask the entrants to add that specific feature to theirs, not to just go out and copy.
From a CH perspective, I totally agree with this one! If the designer is told to change something, they should withdraw a one of their submissions to make room for the new one.
ulahts, not doubting your last comment, but how would a designer even know if a design had already been used? With internet the way it is, it is very easy for someone to use someone else's ideas (copied or just modified).
I'm not a designer, but I totally agree. It is a waste of time to type something if it is just another version of what you had already submitted. No need to post something if all you did was change the color of a font or something.
This would be cool, but at the same time I wonder if this would even be benificial. Someone else's taste might not match yours, so the feedback could be somewhat watered down.
I personally don't think it is a good idea for potential designers to have a say over a contest. It would be like allowing someone to write the details of a contract and then allowing that same company to put in a bid for the contract. It offers an unfair advantage.
I also like the idea.

As a CH, I try to at least say which three made it to the "final round" when deciding a winner.

I would prefer to allow designers more time.
